Join the Climate Change Coalition’s artist educator for a family friendly afternoon in two parts: exploring and creating! Part 1: Come explore Bjorklunden’s lakeside boreal forest. Travel through time to learn about the natural evolution of the ancient ledges, and contrast this to more recent human-driven changes. Part 2: Create landscapes inspired by our expedition. Can a bottle cap be the sun? Can straws create tree trunks? We will use recycled AND traditional materials, such as paint, in our mixed media work. We will create celebrations of nature while reducing material waste to help preserve it, cultivating the environmental steward inside us all. Suitable for all ages, but best for ages 7 & up.
