Door Community Compost Initiative Launches Home Composter Sale to Support County-Wide Sustainability

The Door Community Compost Initiative (DCCI), in partnership with Going Garbage & Recycling Inc., is proud to announce its 2025 Home Composter Sale, offering high-quality compost bins to all Door County residents for just $50.

This initiative aims to make at-home composting more accessible and support residents in reducing food waste, improving soil health, and keeping organic materials out of landfills.

Compost Bin Sale Details:

• Pre-order online or purchase in person at one of our public sale days

• May 7 | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Piggly Wiggly (Sister Bay)

• May 10 | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Healthy Way Market (Sturgeon Bay)

• Open to all Door County residents

Bins being sold typically retail for $100–$200, making this sale a unique opportunity for community members to join the composting movement at a significantly reduced cost.
